DMCA
We support the protection of intellectual property and asks their users to do the same. It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) in a timely manner, the text of which can be found at the United States Copyright Office website, http://www.copyright.gov.
It is expected that all ELI users comply with applicable copyright laws.
If, however, we receive proper notification of claimed copyright infringement we will deal with it immediately. Our response to infringements will include removing the access to material claimed to be the subject of infringement and suspending the store temporarily until the matter is resolved.
1. Infringement Notification
To file a notice of infringement with ELI, you must provide written communication by email or post that sets out full details of the infringement. We suggest that you first seek legal advice if you are not sure if you are the proper copyright holder or if the copyright laws protect the material.
2. Counter Notification
The provider of the allegedly infringing content may make a counter notification pursuant to sections 512(g)(2) and (3) of the US Copyright Act.
To file a counter notification you must provide written communication by email or post that sets out full details of the infringement. We suggest that you first seek legal advice if you are not sure if you are the proper copyright holder or if the copyright laws protect the material.
3. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with Section 512(i)(1)(a) of the DMCA, ELI will, in appropriate circumstances, disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
